Complete the grid with an explanation of the potential health & safety risks associated with using a) TRIPODS b) VIDEO CAMERAS c) LAPTOPS d) HOT FOOD and e) DRINKS. For each risk give an example of how you would adopt a safe way of working so as to alleviate any potential hazards.
Some examples of actor CV's that you can use to build your form. Obviously your choice of actor will probably have limited acting experience so format the page appropriately.
Congratulations to everyone who has made it to GREEN by the end of term. Those people in ORANGE still, we will be putting in place some monitoring and additional workshop sessions next term for you to attend. Over the Christmas holidays, everyone should do their best to get caught up with any work that is missing from their blogs. Use the checklist to help you.
BADGES
Congratulations to the following students who have all earned these badges this term:
Well done for having completed ALL work set this term, on time and do the required standard!
For the first AO of the Visual Effects unit you must understand and analyse the use of 3 different effects types. We've done MATTE and GREEN SCREENING - the last will be ROTOSCOPING.
Write on your blog a response to the following:
1) Find a definition and briefly explain what rotoscoping is.
2) Plot out a brief history of rotoscoping describing the key points in its development and use in film and TV.
3) Find a use of it in a film and analyse why it was used, how it was used and critique the final piece (is it convincing etc). To help you with this, have a look at either Scanner Darkly or one of Ralph Bakshi's rotoscoped animations (Lord of the Rings 1978, Fire & Ice 1983).
4) How could we use rotoscoping in After Effects and for what effect would it be a useful too (CLUE: think about the ROTOBRUSH and the floating banana).
MAKE SURE YOU PUSH YOURSELF IN TERMS OF A RESPONSE - DOES IT SOUND LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. EMBED VIDEOS AND IMAGES.
